To me, reading is a real-life simulator. I mentally end up in the middle of situations I may never get to live or that I may desperately need to live but haven't gotten the chance yet. I get to what-ifs that possibly wouldn't strike me in any other way. I expand my mind and once the mind expands, it can never shrink back to what it was.
