The New Year Resolution You Can’t Go Wrong With
It will help you achieve anything if you stick to it.

Once upon a time, the turtles from a far away land decided to find out which one is the fastest of them all.
They wanted to make the competition difficult. So they set the final destination at the top of a tall tower.
All the animals in the area heard about the unusual race. And came to watch from the sidelines.
The turtles lined up and sprang at full speed. Each one more motivated than the other to be the first one who makes it to the top.
Watchers were skeptical.
Who in the world has ever heard of a fast turtle?
And how are they supposed to climb such a tall tower?
Imagine the muttering. And the chattering. It would not stop.
It was discouraging.
It was effective.
Just as the sideliners predicted, the turtles have started to abandon the race.
One by one, they gave up way before the half of the route. Discouraged with fatigue and all the voices predicting their failures.
Yet to everyone’s surprise, one turtle was still in the competition. She kept climbing and climbing all the way up.
Soon enough, the muttering and the chattering turned into cheering and applause. This one turtle, the only one left in the race, made it to the top.
The animals gathered around the winner wanting to hear what kept her going.
The questions were pouring in. But all the winning turtle could do was to sign for them that she was deaf.
She couldn’t hear their congratulations at the end. Just as she couldn’t hear their discouragement and failure predictions during the race.
Why am I telling you this?
Because too many of us go through life like any other turtle. Springing into races only to abandon them when the going gets tough. When the voices from the sidelines get into our heads and become deafening.
But what if we decide to begin the race deaf?
