Thanks, Ronaldo, for Telling My Kid To Drink Water, Not Coca-Cola

Just a parent giggling at Cristiano Ronaldo’s press conference stunt — one that cost Coca-Cola billions fall in share price.

No, really! That’s exactly what I’d tell Ronaldo if we were to meet face to face these days, and if my child would be the one drinking coke and eating fries. He’s not (yet), but I’m sure many parents can relate to this — you’re doing your best to model the child’s behavior and that stubborn kid just doesn’t want to listen to you. But maybe he’ll listen to Cristiano Ronaldo, right?

It’s not every day that you get to watch this star sitting in front of billions of people and telling them that we should drink water, not Coca-Cola. If your kid happens to be in front of the TV on that day, luck may strike!

The News, in Case You’ve Missed It

Cristiano Ronaldo recently took the headlines, not with his sports achievements, but with the achievement of costing Coca-Coal billions fall in the company’s share price. It only took 30-seconds of a press conference at the European Championship, where the player removed two Coca-Cola bottles from the table and raised the water bottle with a simple message — “Aqua!”.
