Respect is about accepting others for who they are, even when you disagree with them. I can hardly picture an efficient and appreciated manager who doesn't respect the ones "below" him. And still, many would wrongly assume that the simple fact that they're in a superior position entitles them to act superiorly and disrespect others. It turns out employees are starting to stick for what matters to them the most: being treated with respect and decency before anything else.
