Mark, I so much enjoyed the parallelism between a true fan who finds the game a religious experience and the superficial friend who was there for the pretty girls and hotdogs slathered in mustard.

And the ending, totally unexpected - a God removed from the pedestal of immortals, a team of has-beens and a life - your life - feeling just the same.

Hats off for this thought-provoking memoir!
