I loved this piece, Dina!

I recently read Lawrence Cohen's Playful Parenting, and one idea mainly stuck with me: parents are supposed to help their children grow both solid roots and wide wings.

Society temps us into teaching girls how to grow roots and boys how to grow wings.

Children need both.

So, teaching girls to speak up and be adventurous and boys to explore their softer side and cry when they feel like it, are things we should be looking into - if we want them to grow into adults who can embrace life with everything that it brings!
