I love Michelle Obama. I loved Becoming. It's the first book I got to read once I gave birth to my child and started to make sense of everyday life again. I actually wrote a story once for Books Are Our Superpower on how reading Becoming inspired me to get back to freelancing with small steps, early on into my motherhood journey, when I was feeling conflicted. I found my inspiration in the bits where she described what it felt like to search for a job and go to interviews with little Sasha in her stroll.
