I find the idea of watching the news with the kids interesting, Nicole. Also, I assume it works best for older children. Still, children or grownups, I feel it doesn't do much good to watch the news for too long. Especially the ones on TV, where they emphasize the tragic side of the events and keep showing heart-wrenching images in loop... :(
