I didn't know all these, it's been interesting to read! It seems that the Dutch won't spend borrowed money on things that don't bring a return on investment. You said yes for cars and homes, no for miscellaneous, or consumerism products. It doesn't look that bad if you think of it this way. Here in Romania, we have the saying: don't spread further than your blanket allows it. Still, Romanians are terrible at following this advice and many will abuse credit cards...
