I can't even imagine what you felt, what your grandchildren felt, what their parents felt. I'm so glad that everything turned out well for your family!

And so sad that so many people are insensitive to what's happening around them.

I've been having this unexpected feeling ever since I became a mother myself: I feel compassionate towards and responsible for all children, now that I have one of my own.

If only more people would feel compassionate towards and responsible for others... The world would be a much better and safer place....
