Definitely not bitter and not twisted, Barb! You can't, because that would mean I am too. And I'm definitely not. Just like you definitely aren't. That's a definitive answer.

You know what? Just last year's Valentine's Day, I wrote a story with the same idea that I'd rather be loved all year long.

I started it with a quote from Tolstoy's Anna Karenina:

"'He stepped down, trying not to look long at her, as if she were the sun, yet he saw her, like the sun, even without looking.'

When you find the one you can see without even looking, you know that love has found you. It's when you stop needing a special day in a year to celebrate your love. Because you celebrate it 365 days a year already, and you do it with your eyes wide closed."

This year my son asked me what this Valentine's Day is. I tried to explain him without much success. He got stuck on the "Day" part, as in an anniversary. Here in Romania, we talk about birthday parties as in birth days. So he kept saying that he wants to go to this Valentine's Day party 🤪
