As with everything else in life, there are people who have the talent but don't bother with the effort, people who bother with the effort but lack the talent, and people who have both talent and willingness to put in the effort. It's easy to imagine which one will get ahead first, just like it's easy to accept that when you're starting from a lower level, there's more room for you to grow until you reach the top. What matters is for you to want to grow, right? :D
